Following routeRANK’s participation in its first ACTE Executive Forum in London last month, the Association of Corporate Travel Executives granted the ACTE ‘3 Under 33‘ award to routeRANK’s founder and Chairman Jochen Mundinger.
The non-profit organization serves and advances the global business travel industry in over 100 countries. Its ‘3 Under 33‘ program is ‘designed to identify and recognize the newest and brightest thinkers in the business travel industry‘. It rewards innovation, leadership and contributions to the business travel industry. We are proud that routeRANK has gained such distinguished recognition as a winner both for its region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) and globally.
The announcement was made at the Global Education Conference in Rome on Tuesday October 16. Congratulations also go to the other regional and global winners and nominees.
Earlier this month, routeRANK released a new version for the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), integrated with their travel management process run by Carlson Wagonlit Travel. This aims to raise environmental awareness and promote efficient and sustainable travel practices for EPFL personnel. Several customized widgets have also been setup to help visitors find their way, again bearing in mind the environment as well as the time and cost. For more information on related offerings also see our Business Applications and Widget pages.
Recently added features include customized ranking of user priorities and the map display visualizing the entire travel route using the customer’s preferred map provider. Other extensions include the support of the Dutch and Italian languages as well as extended account management functionality for the Standard Professional and the Customized versions. In addition, we have increased our data coverage significantly: 160,000 more flight connections between 5000 more airports are now covered and car route planning was extended to include South American, Asian and African countries. Note that following the end of Mozilla’s support Firefox 3.6 we no longer support it either. For better security and user experience, please upgrade to a more recent version, if applicable.
routeRANK featured in the June/July edition of the National Geographic Traveler and mentioned on Gulliver, the Economist’s business travel blog. It also featured in Germany’s FVW-BizTravel and Austria’s business magazine SUCCEED. Startwerk.ch’s entrepreneur series recently published an interview (in German) and another aired on World Radio Switzerland. We are delighted that routeRANK has also been used as part of the EPA teaching material in the Canton of Fribourg. For more coverage and further information, please check our press page.
