Earlier this month Short’s Travel and routeRANK announced their collaboration offering total trip management functionality integrated with the Short’s Travel ‘Bookit’ booking tool. The partnership with the US company marks a first in integrating the unfiltered door-to-door information with a corporate booking tool. This has been covered by Business Travel News, Le Temps and Smart Mobility Management amongst others.

The international corporate services provider HRG also consistently pursues the multi-dimensional optimization of business travel and signed a cooperation agreement with routeRANK to this end. The collaboration with HRG Germany is another key element in the modern view of integrative travel concepts emphasizes Wolfgang Strasser, its director. “In addition to the various time factors this also allows us to account for individual corporate priorities such as opportunity costs and environmental impact, which are often part of the travel policy. Based on the multi-dimensional view our customers will be able to better measure, document and control their activities. routeRANK is the ideal partner for this approach.”

Following the iPhone app for E-carsharing earlier this year, we have also released a first version of our own basic iPhone application in April. This was covered in the Touring magazine by the Swiss Touring Club. As the web-based version of routeRANK featured on its public website, this version ships with basic functionalities and is available for customers with the usual additional modules and the usual customization in terms of content and look-and-feel. It is also available as an add-on in conjunction with our Custom developed versions.

Recent changes affecting the base version include performance enhancements as well as improved user interaction for longer searches due to temporary unresponsiveness of the relevant external data providers. We also updated the travel productivity calculation to better account for customers’ working hours for our business travel versions. A more user-friendly car result page with detailed driving directions is available for beta testing. Please contact us directly for more information.

Our award page is used to being updated every now and then. In the last 8 weeks since the Zurich Climate Prize we have had the pleasure of doing this twice more.

At the International Transport Forum in Leipzig two weeks ago, routeRANK was named a semi-finalist for the 2013 Transport Achievement Award. The award focused on and recognized this year initiatives or products that through innovative pricing and funding arrangements addresses one or more of today’s transport focal issues – quality infrastructure or service, congestion, safety, environmental protection, enhanced accessibility.

On May 29 we received the 2nd prize in the Smart Mobility Supplier Award by Smart Mobility Management at their Brussels Forum. According to the judges, routeRANK’s “Multi-criteria and multi-technology approach to more efficient, more supportive and less damaging ways of working and travelling is both impressive and inspiring”.

In early March, Smart Mobility Management had already featured us as mobility integrator for business travel. routeRANK was also mentioned in Handelszeitung and our sustainable entrepreneurship success last year was revisited by Wiener Zeitung. For more coverage and further information, please check our press page.

On a different note, routeRANK is looking for a salesperson to join the team. Might you know anyone suitable and interested? We would love to hear from them.
