In the spirit of the European Mobility Week, held in numerous cities every year, the canton Vaud is hosting the “Semaine de la mobilité”, beginning today and lasting until the 27th September 2009.
Expositions, activities and a booklet promote ways of getting around in an environmentally-friendly way. Different topics like getting to school, to work or to the shops are covered and tips are given on how to reach these destinations while reducing negative impacts on the environment.
One of their suggestions refers to routeRANK as a means that makes environmentally conscious travel choices possible. In order to familiarize themselves with the routeRANK software, visitors can try it out on computers kindly made available during expositions in the Lausanne town hall.
